Limit Permissions for a Site User

Only Administrative Administrators can limit access rights to site level individuals.  Restrictive permissions can be set for the following areas:  Tags, Catalog, Purchasing, Rooms, Site Transfers, Staff, and Students.  The default for site level individuals is to allow all available permissions.

Limit Permissions per Site Level Individual

  1. Click on Users under Management Quick Links.
  2. Search for the desired site level individual.
  3. Click on Manage User Permissions, located on the user’s row.  This opens the Modify Permissions window.
  4. Select the desired Permission Template or Select/Deselect the desired permission settings for the individual.
  5. Click on Save.

NOTE:

If permissions have been restricted, the respective site level individual will commonly see a grayed out navigation icon or the feature will be hidden from their view.  Mousing over the grayed out icon displays the phrase "Disabled by System Administrator."

If Add / Edit is deselected, the site administrative level individual will not be able to:

  • Add a purchase order
  • Edit an existing purchase order's details
  • Close a purchase order
  • Add a product to a purchase order
  • Delete a product from a purchase order

If View Access is deselected, then all other options in that category are also unchecked and the respective site level individual will see a grayed out Rooms icon on the navigation bar.

If Add / Edit is deselected, the site level individual will not be able to:

  • Add a new room
  • Edit an existing room
  • Initialize room inventory
  • Add an audit
  • Edit an audit
  • Manipulate anything inRoom Audit Details(perform an Action on a tag,Close & Wrap Up an audit, or Delete an audit)
  • Perform Room to Room Transfers

  
If Quick Collect is deselected, the site level individual will not be able to:

  • Perform a Quick Collectfrom the Quick Linkssection
  • Collect from the inventory of a staff member on Staff grid
  • Collect from the inventory of a student on Students grid
  • Collect from Tag/Serial Search

Site Transfers

If Initiate/Receive Site Transfers is deselected, the site level individual will not be able to:

  • Perform Site to Site Transfers
  • Receive Site to Site Transfers

  • Issue to Staff from theQuick Links section
  • Issue inventory from a staff member's account on theStaff grid

STUDENTS

  
If View Access is deselected, then all other options in that category are also unchecked and the respective site level individual will see a grayed out Students icon on the navigation bar.

If Add / Edit is deselected, the site level individual will not be able to:

  • Add a new student
  • Edit an existing student
  • Open/edit Grademanagement window
  • Assess a Charge to a student
  • Edit an existing Charge
  • Process a Charge Payment
  • Void a Charge
  • Void a Charge Payment
  • Refund a Charge Payment
