Quick Search is available from the administrative view and site view located along the top navigation bar. It allows a user to search for a specific Tag or an item's serial number (a minimum of 3 digits are required) and review details regarding that Tag. It also allows a user to search for a specific student or staff member.
Search for a Tag
1. Click the Tag / Search drop down menu, located in the top navigation bar.
2. Enter the tag number for which to search (it can be made up of alpha and/or numeric characters).
3. Click the Begin Search icon or hit the Enter key on your keyboard.
4. The Tag Information window will appear and display the details of the tag.
5. If you wish to search for another tag, use the Tag field located within the window and repeat steps 2 through 4.
6. Click on to close the Tag Information window.
Search for a Serial Number
To search by serial number, at least 3 alpha and/or numeric digits are required.
1. Click the Tag / Search drop down menu, located in the top navigation bar.
2. Enter part or all of the item's serial number for which to search (it can be made up of alpha and/or numeric characters).
3. Click the Begin Search icon or hit the Enter key on your keyboard.
4. If you have entered part of a serial number, the Results window will open and display a list of possible items matching the search data. The full serial number with the respective product name is displayed in the list. Click on the desired item.
5. The Tag Information window will appear and display the details of the tag.
6. If you wish to search for another tag, use the Tag Search field located at the top of the Tag Information window.
7. Click on to close the Tag Information window.
Search for a Staff Member
1. Click the Tag / Search drop down menu, located in the top navigation bar.
2. Click Staff.
3. Type the Staff ID number or name in the Search field.
4. When you have entered 3 characters, a list of names will begin to auto-populate. Do one of the following:
If the Staff you are searching for displays, click the name.
If the Staff you are searching for does not display, enter the complete name and click the Begin Search icon or hit Enter on your keyboard. If a matching Staff is found, click the name.
5. The Staff Information window opens and displays the details of the Staff.
6. Click on to the Staff Information window.
Search for a Student
1. Click the Tag / Search drop down menu, located in the top navigation bar.
2. Click Student.
3. Type the Student ID number or name in the Search field.
4. When you have entered 3 characters, a list of names will begin to auto-populate. Do one of the following:
If the Student you are searching for displays, click the name.
If the Student you are searching for does not display, enter the complete name and click the Begin Search icon or hit Enter on your keyboard. If a matching Student is found, click the name.
5. The Student Information window opens and displays the details of the Staff.
6. Click on to the Student Information window.
Within the Tag Information window, you may have an icon to the right of a field. This icon is clickable and will take you to the respective location displayed. Most of these icons will only appear if the tag is associated/located on the site you are logged into..
Tag Search results, for Districts with the Departments Feature enabled, will display the department to which the tag is assigned. If the user viewing the tag search results is not assigned to the respective tag's assigned department, the Department field will be red.
Within the Status History tab, Audit History tab, and Attachments tab, the grids are sorted by the newest to oldest. Therefore the most recent information will always be at the top of the respective grid.

When entering a Staff or Student’s name in the Search field, after 3 characters the field will begin to auto-populate alphabetically by first name. When typing a last name only, you must enter the entire last name and then click the Begin Search icon or hit Enter on your keyboard.
When entering a Staff / Student ID, it must be exact in order to find a result.
