Add a User

Users are the individuals who are granted access to TIPWeb-IT.  A district administrator can add additional district level and site level users.  A site administrator can add additional site level users.  The username field is limited to 50 characters (including alpha/numeric and @ _ - . ).

Add a User

1. Click on Users under Management Quick Links.
2. Click on Add Record.
3. Enter the new user's details.  Red fields and Assigned Sites designation are required information.
4. Move respective sites over to the Assigned Sites area for this user.
5. Click on Save.
   

NOTE:

A TIPWeb-IT User (Users are the people who are granted access to TIPWeb-IT. Users are assigned a User Role respective to their position within the district and/or site.) can be assigned to multiple sites. A district level administrative user is allowed to assign multiple sites to users. Within the Assigned Sites field, the first site listed is the user's primary site.  The User (Users are the people who are granted access to TIPWeb-IT. Users are assigned a User Role respective to their position within the district and/or site.) will view switch to any additional assigned sites.

Districts utilizing the Warehouse Feature must identify Drivers to perform transfers to and from the warehouse.

Districts with the Departments Feature (Departments is an optional feature which must be purchased to enable it within TIPWeb-IT. This feature allows for the ability to assign Departments to users and tags. Those users assigned to a specific department(s) will only be able to access/view/modify tags assigned to the respective department. For more information about the Departments Feature, contact Customer Support at support@hayessoft.com or 800-495-5993.) enabled will be asked to assign each user to a specific department or departments.

A TIPWeb-IT User can be assigned a User Type. Administrators can view and manage user types by selecting User Types under the Management Quick Link.

A User Role can be further defined by adding a User Type through the User Management screen. The single select dropdown menu contains a list of all user types currently in the system. Assigning a User Type will impact the user type’s workflow.  

A TIPWeb-IT User permissions can be further defined by applying a Permission Template. Administrators can view and manage Permission Templates by selecting User > Permission Templates under the Management Quick Link.
