Transfer Component to Another Tag

Components allows one or more existing tags (called Components) to be assigned to another existing tag (called Parent).  This allows all of the tags to move throughout the district, as a group, by only moving the parent tag.  Examples: laptops in a laptop cart, a mobile workstation with various technology items

Only tags in the status of Available are eligible to be assigned to a parent.  When a component is assigned to a parent, it automatically moves to the parent's current location.  This action is recorded in the tag's Status History.

NOTE:  A tag can only be assigned one Asset Type at a time.  Therefore, a component cannot also be a parent.
