Components allows one or more existing tags (called Components) to be assigned to another existing tag (called Parent). This allows all of the tags to move throughout the district, as a group, by only moving the parent tag. Examples: laptops in a laptop cart, a mobile workstation with various technology items
Only tags in the status of Available are eligible to be assigned to a parent. When a component is assigned to a parent, it automatically moves to the parent's current location. This action is recorded in the tag's Status History.
NOTE: A tag can only be assigned one Asset Type at a time. Therefore, a component cannot also be a parent.
 Search or select the Enter key on your keyboard.  The Tag Information window appears and displays the details of the tag.
