Bins allows the district to document district warehouse locations assigned to instructional material storage. Assigning bin locations to ISBNs makes it more efficient for the warehouse staff in locating the desired ISBNs when fulfilling pick tickets and storing materials as they come into the warehouse (vendor orders and call tagged items).
Bins assignments are found on pick tickets and the District Warehouse Inventory Worksheet.
BEST PRACTICE: Make bin names meaningful by establishing a naming convention (such as: A32 = Isle A, Bay 3, Shelf 2).
