Quick
Search is located on the top navigation bar from the administrative and
site view. It allows a user to search
for a specific tag, serial number, student or staff member.
Search for
a Tag
1. Enter the tag number in the Tag/Serial search field on the top navigation bar (it can be made up of alpha and/or numeric characters).
2. Click
the Begin Search icon
or hit the Enter key on your keyboard. The Tag Information
window opens and displays the tag details.
3. If you wish to search for another tag, use the Tag field located at the top of the Tag Information window and repeat steps 1 and 2.
4. Click
on Close
to close the Tag Information window.
Search for a Serial Number
To search by serial number, at least 3 alpha and/or numeric digits are required.
1. Enter the tag number in the Tag/Serial search field on the top navigation bar (it can be made up of alpha and/or numeric characters).
2. Click
the Begin Search icon
or hit the Enter key on your keyboard.
3. If you have entered part of a serial number, the Results window will open and display a list of possible items matching the search data. The full serial number with the respective product name is displayed in the list. Click on the desired item.
The Tag Information window opens and displays the tag details.
4. If you wish to search for another serial number, use the Tag field located at the top of the Tag Information window and repeat steps 1 through 3.
5. Click
on Close
to
close the Tag Information window.
Search for a Staff Member
When entering a Staff Member’s name in the Search field, after 3 characters the field will begin to auto-populate alphabetically by first name. You can search by ID, first name, or last name.
When entering a Staff ID, it must be exact in order to find a result.
1. Click on the Tag/Serial drop down menu, located on the top navigation bar.
2. Click Staff.
3. Enter/scan the Staff ID number or name in the Search field.
4. If the Staff you are searching for displays, click the name.
If
the Staff you are searching for does not display, enter the complete name
and click the Begin Search
icon
or hit Enter on your keyboard.
If a matching Staff is found, click the name.
The Staff Information window opens and displays the Staff details.
5. Click
on Close
to
close the Staff Information window.
Search for a Student
When entering a Student’s name in the Search field, after 3 characters the field will begin to auto-populate alphabetically by first name. You can search by ID, first name, or last name.
When entering a Student ID, it must be exact in order to find a result.
1. Click on the Tag/Serial drop down menu, located on the top navigation bar.
2. Click Student.
3. Enter/scan the Student ID number or name in the Search field.
4. If the Student you are searching for displays, click the name.
If
the Student you are searching for does not display, enter the complete
name and click the Begin Search
icon
or hit Enter on your keyboard.
If a matching Student is found, click the name.
The Student Information window opens and displays the Student details.
5. Click
on
Close to
close the Student Information window.
Within the Tag Information window, you may have an icon to the right of a field. This icon is clickable and will take you to the respective displayed location. Most of these icons will only appear if the tag is associated/located on the site you are logged in to.
Tag Search results, for Districts with the Departments Feature enabled, will display the department the tag is assigned. If the user viewing the tag search results is not assigned to the respective tag's assigned department, the Department field will be red.
Within the Status History tab, Audit History tab, Attachments tab, and Ticket History tab, the grids have the most recent information at the top of the respective grid.
