Initialize Inventory into a Container

Containers can hold tagged and/or untagged items.  All items added to a container will automatically assume the status of the container.

Initialize Inventory Into a Container

1. Click on , located on the navigation bar.

2. Search for the desired container.

3. Click on  Initialize Container Inventory located on the container’s respective row.

4. Select the Inventory Type for the item(s) you are initializing.

5. Enter the item’s specific information:

1. • Tagged - Scan each item’s tag into the Tag field.

   • Untagged - Enter the Product Number into the Product Number field (or search to find desired product), enter Quantity, and click Save.

6. Once successfully initialized, the item appears in the Scan History for Today grid.

7. Click to close the Initialize Container Inventory window.
   

NOTE:

The Product Catalog is a complete listing of products within TIPWeb-IT.  It has detailed information regarding each product, including a product number barcode to scan. The Product Catalog allows the utilization of a scanner in order to identify and quickly scan the product number. The Product Catalog can be filtered to show Untagged products.
