Change Distribution Status

TIPWeb-IM allows you to document the status of student distributions.  An item in good standing has a distribution status of DIST.  If an item issued to a student becomes lost or damaged enough to require the full replacement of the item (i.e. book left in the rain and moldy), document this by changing the item's status.

Change Status of a Student's Distribution

  1. Click on Students, located on the Navigation Bar.

  2. Search for the desired student.

  3. Click on the student's name.  This opens the Quick Data section at the bottom of the screen.

  4. In the Quick Data section, locate the desired accession number.

  5. Click on Change Status under the Change Status column located on the accession's row.  This opens the Change Status screen.

  6. Select the new status using the New Status drop down menu in the middle of the screen.

  7. Enter any notes relevant to the change of status into the Notes field (notes data can be visible on the Student Textbook Receipt).

  8. Click on Change Status to complete the change of status.  The screen refreshes to the Students page.

NOTE:

To change the status to Partial, you are required to enter a dollar amount into the Payment field.  It is a best practice to enter the amount paid, the date, and form of payment into the Notes field before clicking on Change Status.  This allows details of the partial payments to be easily seen on the Student Textbook Receipt (with Notes).
